Here is a little about the book:
A sweet romantic comedy set in beautiful Napa Valley!
Ivy needs a miracle and a drink—not necessarily in that order. With a struggling winery, the only hope of keeping her dream alive is snagging a gold medal at the annual wine competition. She’s determined to win, but she can do it without the help of Ted Jacobs, aka Mr. Know-it-All.
Ted wants to catch lightning in a bottle and create the world’s greatest wine, but he’s smart enough to know he can’t do it alone. When he heads to Napa to keep his grandma from ending up in jail (don’t ask), he meets Ivy. She’s as complex and intoxicating as his award-winning cabernet, but as stubborn as the mule next door when she stomps on his offer to collaborate.
Ted knows it’s risky to mix business with pleasure, but if Ivy would only listen, they might just be the toast of the town.
Review
Here it is, another romcom from my favorite person. I still can’t believe a man is writing such brilliant romcoms. This guy is just crazy good.
I wonder how many times I can get away with a cut and paste of a previous review for this guy. You know I wanted to do it last release as well. He is just consistently DAMN GOOD and there really is not much more to say. Every time Rich Amooi has a new book come out, I’m chomping at the bit to get at it.
Wine, grandmothers and shenanigans. Add some comedic romance and you’ve got Rich Amooi’s latest release.
It’s an easy story, Ted wants to buy a vine from Ivy’s vineyard Half Moon Vineyards. (Ted’s family used to own said vineyard and now Ivy and her family own it). When Ivy refuses to sell, Ted’s grandmother decides it may just be easier to “steal a grapevine” instead. When Ted follows grandma to stop her from stealing from Ivy, well, thats when said shenanigans begin.
Ted and Ivy have no chance when both of their grandmothers team up to try and get these two together, and of course they both are hilarious.
Ivy and Ted may have their issues, but it’s a no brainer that somehow, someway these two are going to end up together, no matter how much they resist.
Overall Rich has written another laugh out loud romcom with quirky characters that are lovable and unforgettable. I learned a little about wine, I laughed a lot, and I enjoyed the little twists and surprises Amooi gave us along the way. Another 5 star unputdownable read that you can’t possibly miss!
Thank you so much to Rich Amooi, and Rachel Gilbey from Rachels Random Resources, for a copy of this book for my honest and unbiased opinion.
