Here is a little about the book:

Divorced and keeping a heart-breaking secret, Abbie Potter is sleep-walking through her life as a publicist at a London football club. She seems to spend more time covering their scandals than celebrating their wins, and has had enough. Though she’s already prepared for a fresh start, some shocking news pushes her to take an opportunity even further from home – in Salt Lake City.

The first morning of her new life, Abbie bumps into Kyle Miller. He’s persistent, and Abbie’s more than intrigued by him. Everything else seems to fit into place too: she has a fulfilling job, is on a journey of self-rediscovery, and has revived her love of music thanks to a new-found friendship.

She can’t risk losing what she’s built for herself, but how can she stop it from slipping through her fingers without shattering the façade she hides behind?

Review

Abbie Potter is unhappy. After a divorce and working a dead end job, she takes an offer to move from London to Salt Lake City in the US. This was a no-brainer for her after a final shocking announcement in London is enough to make her want to get away. Hoping this new job is just what she needs to turn her life around, she sets new goals and aims to make her life better.
Once arriving in Salt Lake, she makes new friends and excels in her new career. Then she meets Kyle, the manager at a local soccer club, and she starts to have feelings for him. Kyle is a great guy and takes the time to show Abbie around the area, and she is finally considering another go at romance. But Kyle has his own secrets. How will things turn out?

A sweet debut novel with some very realistic main characters who are extremely likable. This is a delightful fast paced read that is about self-discovery and starting over. It’s revolves around a fun new romance and had some charming intimate scenes, and Abbie is the perfect main character you really want to route for. Kyle is a very outgoing and quite appealing and the perfect match for Abbie. There are some unique side stories going on in the background that keeps the story interesting and the secondary characters really pull everything together to make this an extremely pleasurable read. What a debut for Rebecca Banks and I look forward to what she has coming next.

Thank you so much to Rebecca Banks and Rachel Gilbey from Rachels Random Resources for a copy of this book for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Serious book loving critical care RN dealing with RA, being married to a surgeon, my 2 crazy dogs, an obsession with crafting, and a mad desire to swing golf clubs (although quite poorly).
