Here is a little about the book:
Emily’s Struggling To Find Romance Online. Will Ditching The Dating Apps Lead To True Love?
Online dating isn’t working for introvert Emily. Although she’s comfortable swiping right at home in her PJs, the idea of going out to meet a guy in person fills her with dread.
So when her best friend challenges her to ditch the apps, attend a load of awkward singles’ events and find love in real life, Emily wants to run for the hills.
Then she meets Josh. He’s handsome, kind and funny, but Emily’s had her heart crushed before and knows he’s hiding something…
Is Josh too good to be true? Can Emily learn to trust again and if she does, will it lead to love or more heartache?
Love Offline is a fun, sexy, entertaining story about friendship, stepping outside of your comfort zone and falling in love the old-fashioned way. Ideal for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk and Beth O’Leary’s The Flatshare.
Review
Finding love after a 5 year relationship is hard. It’s even harder when you were cheated on in the last 6 months of that relationship and feel crushed. Can you think of anything worse? How about spending half your time on social media scrolling through your ex’s feed, watching him move on with his life and getting engaged?? Yep, that is Emily’s life.
But her best friend Chloe who is anti-technology finally persuades Emily to stop “swiping right” to find a new man and to go on a digital hiatus for 2 months and give “real life” dating a chance. So Emily reluctantly succumbs and goes to some single events and tries speed dating. Alas, she meets Josh, who is fabulous and seems to have it all, but with all that, she still feels like he’s got to be hiding something. Will Emily give Josh a chance and allow herself to fall in love again the traditional way or will she fall back into her safety net and head back to online dating?
Another wonderful romcom by the brilliant Olivia Spring, who has written some really amazing books. Love Offline is fun and humorous with a ton of true to life scenarios that anyone who has been, or is dating, can totally relate to. The social media angle really adds a lot to the story, reminding us how it can really be destructive to your life, your time, and your attitude about yourself and others. It’s a refreshing warning to us all. I really adored this book, I enjoyed seeing Emily’s life evolve, and her BFF Chloe is just the perfect friend to have next to you. This is a sublime, heartwarming, feel-good, laugh out loud romcom for everyone. Highly Recommend!
Thank you so much to Olivia Spring, Hartley Publishing, and Rachel Gilbey from Rachels Random Resources for my gifted copy of this book for my honest and unbiased opinion.
