Wow, make sure you have no plans when you sit down with this one, it will monopolize the rest of your day.
Malcolm Gilbert and his wife are going about their ordinary day when the doorbell rings. Naturally, without thinking he opens the door. It’s right then, and for the next 48 hours the Gilbert’s horror begins and they are at the mercy of the monsters that have invaded their home. What do they want? Why are they there? You have to read it to find out.
This was my first Bianca Sloane book, and I keep asking myself what rock I’ve been hiding under. This story is an immediate page turner right out of the gate. There is an overwhelming feeling of sheer terror that I’ve never experienced while reading before, it’s like witnessing a major catastrophe and not being able to look away until you reach the unexpected ending. (Except in this case you really don’t want the book to end because then what will you do with yourself?) Bianca’s writing is captivating, fast paced, and seductive, and she’s written one heck of a suspenseful crime thriller. I now have a new auto-buy author and I am certainly going back and reading all her previous novels. Truly deserving of a 5 star rating. Highly recommend this read.
