I have a wonderful adventure being brought to you by Suzy Approved Book Tours and GetRedPR, White Knight by John H. Cunningham released on September 23, 2019, with 4.5 stars on both Amazon and Goodreads.
About the book:
Buck Reilly’s vacation in the Virgin Islands goes downhill fast when he witnesses a helicopter crash over the Francis Drake Channel. Buck races to the rescue, but the lone survivor—a beautiful woman—has amnesia. When Buck learns the woman is Giselle Huibert, the First Lady of France, who fled her husband while at the G8 Summit on St. Thomas for reasons she cannot remember, Buck has no choice but to try and help her. However, Giselle refuses to let him call the police—even when it becomes clear that men intending to kill them are hot on their trail.
When Giselle remembers the horrifying assault she witnessed her husband and his head of security commit, and the events that led to her helicopter crashing, she and Buck are forced to flee throughout the Virgin Islands, with no one to trust but a group of unlikely heroes.
Fueled by their mutual passion, revenge against her husband, and their quest for the truth, Buck and Giselle turn the tables on their pursuers, but the final showdown rocks them to their core and challenges everything they believed to be true.
Book Blurbs
“A heart-poundingthriller! White Knight checks all the boxes for a nonstop read, dishing uppsychological suspense, political intrigue and bare-knuckles adventure. Think:Elmore Leonard meets David Baldacci.” -Jeffery Deaver, author of The Bone Collector and The Never Game
“White Knight is an island-hoppingadventure, with both a cast of characters as colorful as you would expect tofind in the middle of the Caribbean, and international intrigue that carriesboth personal and professional implications for Buck Reilly.” – Lisa Black, New York Times Bestselling author of the Gardiner-Renner series
“I’m always so impressed with the quality of John Cunningham’s writing.Crisp, descriptive, always moving along at a smart pace, with characters realenough to touch, and locations you can see and sense. But most of all, it’s thebroad, evocative plots that Cunningham creates which make me purely envious.I’m reminded of Alistair McClain and James Michener. Out of all the modernCaribbean Island Adventure writers, John lets me smell the ocean and feel the wind, while I’m ripping at the pages.” – Michael Reisig, author of The Road To Key West series
“White Knight is packed with white-knuckledthrills! John H. Cunningham is known forpopulating his books with colorful local characters and paints with a brush coated in first-hand knowledge of far flung places. White Knight is no exception, as Buck Reilly visits nearly every single island in the US and British Virgin Islands. Keep a map handy and you’ll enjoy this whirlwind evenmore! As is usually the case with a well-constructed yarn, I can’t give toomany specifics without spoiling plot points, but suffice it to say it startswith a bang… and ends with a bang. Highly recommended!” -Nick Sullivan, author of Deep Cut
My review
Wow I need a vacation myself after that book, what an adventure. I am exhausted.
So when Buck Reilly tries to get to know his son, he charters a boat to take him and his mother sailing for 10 days. When that trip falls apart after only 2 days, Buck decides to use the rest of the chartered boat time for himself. Well, that doesn’t work out. Buck is barely into his alone time when he witnesses a helicopter shot out of the sky and is able to rescue a woman from the aircraft. Low and behold this “woman” ends up to be Giselle Huibert, the First Lady of France, who has fled her husband while in St. Thomas.
Giselle can’t quite remember exactly why she fled her husband, she knows her marriage is over, but cannot remember the particular incident that prompted her escape, and begs Buck not to call the police. As Buck tries to help Giselle remember, the search for the First Lady ensues, and it appears it’s not to rescue her but to silence her for good. The adventure and action continues nonstop as these two decide to search for the truth and are chased throughout the islands with a little help from Buck’s old friends.
Let me just tell you this book does NOT stop with the adventure. I literally flew through it in one day and could not get enough. The twists and turns, mystery and revenge, and nonstop action just keeps coming. The suspense was so intense that this one was actually Xanax worthy! I honestly don’t think I’ve read a book faster. Let’s just talk about that ending too! Jeez. This was my first Buck Reilly but let me tell you it won’t be my last. Where have you been all my life John Cunningham? You get 5 stars sir!!!

About the Author
John H. Cunningham is the author of the best selling, seven book, Buck Reilly adventure series, which includes Red Right Return, Green to Go, Crystal Blue, Second Chance Gold, Maroon Rising, Free Fall to Black and Silver Goodbye.
Through the years, John has been a bouncer at a Key West nightclub, a diver, pilot, magazine editor, commercial developer, song writer and global traveler. He has either lived in or visited the many island locations that populate the series, and has experienced or witnessed enough craziness and wild times to keep the Buck Reilly series flowing. John mixes fact with fiction and often includes real people in his novels, like Jimmy Buffett, Chris Blackwell, Matt Hoggatt, Thom Shepherd, Dave McKenney, Keith Sykes, Marius Stakelborough, Bruno Magras and Bankie Banx to augment the reader’s experience.
Adhering to the old maxim, “write what you know,” John’s books have an authenticity and immediacy that have earned a loyal following and strong reviews. Buck Reilly is a reflection of us all, including our frailties, strengths, dreams, fears, successes, failures, mistakes and occasional victories. No government agency, team of soldiers, unlimited cash, or secret agents are coming to Buck’s rescue, because, well they’re not coming to rescue us either, are they?
John lives in Virginia and Key West, and spends much of his time traveling. His choices for the places and plots that populate the Buck Reilly series include many subjects that he loves: Key West, Cuba, Jamaica, and multiple Caribbean settings, along with amphibious aircraft, colorful characters, and stories that concern themselves with the same tensions and issues that affect all of our lives. https://jhcunningham.com/
